Indiana basketball career stats: 17.4 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 44.8 FG%, 72 GP

Tom Van Arsdale finished his career with Indiana basketball with 12 more total points scored and lands himself in the No. 33 spot on the all-time scoring list in IU history. In his junior season, Tom averaged 21.3 points and 12.3 rebounds and was named co-MVP of the Hoosiers team in 1963-64 and 1964-65 with his brother Dick.

Tom ranks in the top 10 in just two statistical categories in Indiana basketball history:

Total rebounds per game: 10.0 (4th)
Total rebounds per game (single season): 12.3 in 1963-64 (9th)

Now for Tom in the NBA, he was a three-time NBA All-Star and averaged 15.3 points in his 14-year career. At the end of his run in the NBA, Tom signed his final contract with the Phoenix Suns in 1976-77 and retired on the same team as his brother, Dick at the end of that season.
