Indiana’s Jaylin Lucas (12) runs during the Indiana versus Michigan football game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022. /

#2. Jaylin Lucas – RB

Week 6 stats: 4 rushes, 45 rushing yards, 3 receptions, 20 receiving yards

As promised, Jaylin Lucas got his touches that Tom Allen knew he should be getting. Though most of his rushing yards came on just one of his attempts (39-yard run in the second quarter), Lucas was getting targets and touches galore, because he was actually making plays happen. The Hoosiers offense, once again, essentially went away from getting the ball to running backs in the open field and were held to barely any significant yardage in the second half.

Hopefully Lucas can continue to see significant usage and see more snaps as we progress towards another downfall season. If Lucas can add more muscle and mass, he could become one of the best running backs in the Big Ten in the coming seasons.
