Next game: Oct. 15 vs. Wisconsin

Is it Mel Tucker or is this Michigan State football team just bad? The Spartans have lost four straight games for the first time since 2019 and have been outscored by 81 points in those games. Payton Thorne could only manage 113 yards on 11 completions, while no Spartans’ running back gained more than 10 rushing yards in the whole game.

Now the Spartans turn their focus to a Wisconsin team that just manhandled the Wildcats and are looking to rebuild their season. Honestly, the next opportunity for Michigan State to snag a win this season comes in Week 10 against Rutgers in East Lansing. I definitely think that the Spartans won’t get to a bowl game this season.
