Last game: 9-6 win vs. Iowa
Next game: Oct. 15 vs. Minnesota

The Illinois Fighting Illini have won four straight games for the first time since 2019, and are also ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2011, ranked #24 heading into Week 7. Illinois is coming off a very ugly win against Iowa, despite Chase Brown dominating the ground game as usual with 146 rushing yards on 31 carries. The question mark for the Illini is the health of Tommy DeVito.

After losing in Week 2 to the Indiana Hoosiers, the Fighting Illini have outscored opponents by 79 points over the last four games and head into Week 7 ranked in the Top 25 and Top 4 of my Big Ten Power Rankings. Illinois will now take on Minnesota and Mohamed Ibrahim, who are coming off of a bye week after a tough loss to Purdue in Week 5.
