Big Ten Power Rankings: Indiana football falls out of top 10 after Week 5
Last game: 34-10 win @ Wisconsin
Next game: Oct. 8 vs. Iowa
Who would’ve thought that after taking on Wisconsin on the road, the Fighting Illini would be walking out of Madison with a 24-point win and 4-1 record? Definitely not me. Chase Brown and the Illini offense came out of halftime hot with 17 unanswered points. Another impressive point, the Illini did not let Braelon Allen get going at all, with two total rushing yards on eight attempts. Illinois is something interesting!
Now the Fighting Illini take on a tough Iowa defense in Week 6, then will look to continue their impressive play with games against Minnesota, Nebraska, Michigan State, and Purdue before their next ranked matchup. The Illini were receiving votes to be in the AP Top 25 this week; could that come true after a Week 6 win against the Hawkeyes?
