Last game: 27-14 loss vs. #4 Michigan
Next game: Oct. 8 @ Illinois

The Hawkeyes’ defense did not allow more than seven points in each quarter of their game against the Wolverines, but could not get any help from the offense until the fourth quarter, when the game was already over. Spencer Petras played a bit better than what we’ve seen this season, totaling 246 yards and a touchdown against the Wolverines.

Now Iowa will try to slow down Chase Brown after allowing Blake Corum to dominate the ground game with 133 rushing yards on 29 carries. The only way the Hawkeyes could move their way up the rankings is by the play of the defense and the offense giving some sort of support against the Illini before having to take on the Buckeyes in Week 7.
