Big Ten Power Rankings: Indiana football falls out of top 10 after Week 5

Next game: Oct. 8 vs. #3 Ohio State

Mel Tucker and the Michigan State Spartans continue to fall week after week. The Spartans’ defense allowed 313 passing yards to Taulia Tagovailoa and 120 rushing yards and a touchdown to Antwain Littleton II. This defense looks nothing like last season. Michigan State has allowed 27 or more points in three consecutive losses for the first time since losing five straight and allowed 27+ points in 2019.

Michigan State now takes on #3 Ohio State, Wisconsin, #4 Michigan, and Illinois over the next four weeks and they would be lucky to come out with one win. Is it possible that the Spartans will end the 2022 season without making a bowl game?
