What is going on with Sparty? Michigan State could not get anything going against a rising Minnesota squad that dominated the game from the start. The Golden Gophers led 34-0 with less than two minutes remaining in the game and gave up a touchdown pass from backup quarterback, Noah Kim.

The success of the Spartans relies on the play of Payton Thorne and the leadership of Mel Tucker. This entire team looks nothing like 2021 Michigan State, which is disappointing for Spartans fans, but surprising for most college football fans. Now the Spartans travel to Maryland, who just gave Michigan a run for their money last weekend.
