Next game: Oct. 1 vs. Indiana

After a week off and a full week of practice, Nebraska football comes into this home matchup against Indiana football with a chip on their shoulders and is hopeful for success in the coming weeks. The Hoosiers are coming off a disappointing loss against Cincinnati, where they were blown out in the first half, so expect IU to come out ready to compete as road warriors.

The problem with Nebraska is not Casey Thompson, who has thrown for 300+ passing yards in two of their three losses and has thrown for five touchdowns and been sacked 11 times. The problem is the defensive side of the ball, where the Cornhuskers rank 114th in the FBS in total team defense and 127th out of 131 teams in average rushing yards allowed per game (233.5). Can the Huskers slow down a running game from the Hoosiers that hasn’t really proven itself yet?
