Indiana’s Charles Campbell (93), whose girlfriend is a Red Stepper, poses with the squad after hitting the game winning field goal during the Indiana football versus Western Kentucky football game at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 17, 2022. /

#1. Charles “Chuck” Campbell – K

Week 3 stats vs. WKU: 4/4 FG (100.0 pct), 1/1 (100.0 pct), 13 total points, 51-yard game-winning FG

How much better can a kicker play in a college football game? Campbell scored more points individually than any other player on the field in Week 3 and did not miss any of his attempted kicks all game. On the other sideline, Brayden Narveson hit three of his four field goals, missing the game-winning attempt with less than 10 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, then got blocked by Jaylin Williams on another field goal attempt in overtime to give the Hilltoppers the lead.

To make things look even better for the senior kicker from Tennessee, the Hoosiers offense did not even put him in the best position to win the game in overtime, with their final drive of the game, going four plays for -8 yards and setting Campbell up for his fifth 50+ yard field goal make of his career. Campbell now has the most field goal makes in the Big Ten this season with seven.

Let’s just say, “Chuck” is going to be the talk of the town in Bloomington for the next five days until the Hoosiers take on last season’s CFP participant, Cincinnati, on Saturday afternoon.

Who will be the number one key player from the Hoosiers game against Cincinnati on Saturday?
