#2. Connor Bazelak – QB

Week 3 stats vs. WKU: 33/55 (60.0 pct), 364 passing yards, 2 TD

Connor Bazelak, yet again, shows up in the second half as the Hoosiers were in need of some offense and looking to match the Hilltoppers. These slow starts will eventually hurt Indiana once they start playing better teams like Cincinnati (this weekend) and Michigan (October 8).

Through his first three games as a Hoosier, Bazelak has the third most pass completions (77) and sixth most passing yards (891) in the Big Ten. His 364 passing yards in the Week 3 game against WKU is the most in a single game for Bazelak since December 2020 against Arkansas (380). Bazelak has thrown for 350+ passing yards three times in his career and his teams are undefeated in those games.

Indiana football will need Bazelak to perform for a full game against the Bearcats on Saturday afternoon for the Hoosiers offense to have a chance to hang and allow the defense time to rest against the offense.
