Kickoff against the Hilltoppers is less than 24 hours away and we look at the betting odds and tips for Indiana football against Western Kentucky in Week 3. Though I was off with betting the spread for the Hoosiers against Idaho in Week 2, taking the over 49.5 points was spot on.

Indiana football vs. Western Kentucky best bet: Indiana ML & Under 62.5 points
Things have changed since a year ago when the Hoosiers and Hilltoppers offenses combined for 64 total points. Both teams have lost big playmakers from 2021, and although Western Kentucky has been putting up points in 2022, they haven’t played a defense like Indiana football yet.
IU has not combined with either of their opponents to reach more than 57 points. Scoring 23 points against the Illini defense in Week 1, then following up with 35 points against the Vandals in Week 2, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Hoosiers hardly reach 20 points in this matchup. The key for Indiana football will be to slow down the Hilltoppers offense and keep things a low scoring game, for them to have a chance.
Giving the Hoosiers 6.5 points is crazy, especially after what spectators saw from the team against FCS opponent, Idaho, just a week ago. Expect this game to be way closer, and I don’t anticipate either team scoring more than two touchdowns each.
The best bet for this week’s matchup for Indiana football is taking the Hoosiers to win (money-line), along with adding in a bet for under 62.5 points. If you were to parlay Indiana football to win, along with under 62.5 total points, you could bring in a profit of $151.79. Be smart, hope for the best!
