Week 2 stats vs. Idaho: 5 total tackles, 2 sacks, 2 tackles for loss

The freshman linebacker was all over the field for Tom Allen’s defensive unit and showed his talent by getting in the backfield for two sacks and two tackles for loss. If anything was to be celebrated in the first half, it was the optimism and impressing play by McCullough.

It’s no surprise that after this season, Indiana football is going to lose a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball. So, being able to see a freshman like McCullough dominate on defense is a huge positive as he continues to grow after just his second career college game. His quickness and agile frame is something that can be dangerous for opposing offenses.

I think Hoosier Nation agrees with me as 81.4 percent of the 43 voters chose Dasan McCullough as the Indiana football Week 2 MVP.
