#2. Shaun Shivers – RB

Week 2 stats vs. Idaho: 20 rushing attempts, 155 rushing yards, 1 TD

One of the only positives on the offensive side of the ball from start to finish in this game, Shaun Shivers finished this game with a career-best 155 rushing yards, and bursted out of the backfield for multiple long running plays, especially a 31-yard rush right after halftime and a 46-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to close out the game.

Though the run defense for Idaho is not something to be impressed by, it’s a launching point for Shaun Shivers and Indiana football that is looking for any type of confidence in the running game to support Bazelak and the passing game in future games. Let’s hope for some more fireworks from the speedy Shivers as we move into a tough portion of non-conference games against Western Kentucky and Cincinnati.
