Indiana basketball star forward, Trayce Jackson-Davis, was named a Preseason First Team All-American by College Hoops Today’s, Jon Rothstein, for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Yet another preseason award for the Hoosiers’ big man that decided to return to Bloomington for his final season.

In his junior campaign, which seemed like it would be his last for Indiana basketball, Jackson-Davis averaged 18.3 points (sixth in Big Ten), 8.1 rebounds (sixth in Big Ten), 2.3 blocks (second in Big Ten), and held the most defensive win shares in the Big Ten, with 2.3.

Though his numbers last season didn’t earn him First Team All-Big Ten honors, Jackson-Davis finished with Second Team All-Big Ten honors, Big Ten All-Defensive Team, and was included in the All-Big Ten Tournament Team.

Leading the Hoosiers on both sides of the ball, Jackson-Davis is now coming into his fourth and final season with Indiana basketball looking to make headlines around the nation. He has already been named a Preseason All-American for the 2022-23 season by Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook, and seems to be on his way to earning more and more honors as we inch closer to tip-off.

While all of this recognition is fine and dandy, it won’t mean much unless Jackson-Davis and Indiana basketball can make a run for the 2023 National Championship in March and April. Let’s compete for banner number six. The time is now.
