#2. Indiana football defensive goal line stand in the 4th quarter

After a punt from Indiana football, Illinois started the fourth quarter with the ball on their own 34-yard line and marched down the field in less than three minutes all the way down to the Indiana six-yard line. First and goal to go with 11 minutes remaining in the game and the Illini have four chances to get into the endzone and give themselves a touchdown and extra point lead over the Hoosiers in Bloomington.

On first and second and goal, DeVito and Brown combined to rush for four total yards to give the Illini a third-and-goal from the two yard line. Two yards away from pulling away, the Illini are going to give the ball to their workhouse running back, who has dominated the Hoosiers all game… what could go wrong?

Tom Allen’s defense STEPPED UP. Cam Jones and Josh Sanguinetti saved the day on a third down play after Chase Brown spun away from the Hoosiers defense and nearly rolled into the endzone, until Jones and Sanguinetti stood him up at the one yard line. Fourth and goal from the one yard line, time to man up and shut up. JH Tevis and Aaron Casey penetrated the Illini offensive line and tackled Brown for loss to give Indiana football the ball back on their own four-yard line.
