#1. Connor Bazelak throws for 250+ yards and 2+ TD’s

This bold take adds to another “take” that Connor Bazelak earned the starting quarterback position over Jack Tuttle and will be leading the Hoosier offense on Friday night. To most Indiana football fans, Bazelak being QB1 to start the season makes the most sense, and seemingly there’s no other option.

Bazelak recorded three games at Missouri in 2021 with 250+ passing yards, and 2+ touchdowns, which all came in the first three weeks of the season against lackluster defenses. Illinois is no slouch in the passing department and only allowed five completions for 30 yards against Wyoming in their Week 0 win. The pressure will be on for Bazelak, but he has the weapons around him to make plays from the line of scrimmage to rack up the yards and the touchdowns as he finishes the Illini in Week 1 with 250+ passing yards and 2+ touchdowns and a win for Indiana football.
