Indiana football: Three key Hoosiers to watch for against Illinois

The Auburn transfer running back has impressed many people during the spring and fall, even though the running back room should be split between Shaun Shivers, Josh Henderson, and true freshman, Jaylin Lucas. Shivers has the most experience, and I believe, the most talent among the backs in the RB room, but being able to compete for more touches will only benefit Indiana football in the long run.

The highlight for Shivers at Auburn in his career was his game in Week 2 against Alabama State in 2018 (freshman year), where he rushed for 117 yards on just 13 attempts and scored a touchdown as well. Though the tailback did not record more than four rushing attempts in a single game last season, expect Shivers to dominate the backfield, and hopefully give Bazelak or Tuttle some breathing room in the passing game.
