Week 8:

Last seasons pounding by Rutgers over the Hoosiers is hopefully a one-off as there are hopefully no hiccups for Indiana football facing the Scarlet Knights in Week 8. The Hoosiers should be able to handle Rutgers, even on the road, as the defense will be headed by Tom Allen this season and the Scarlet Knights will be relying on Kyle Monangai and the run game to beat the Hoosiers this season.

INDIANA 20 – RUTGERS 16 (5-3, 3-2)

Week 9:

As stated in my preview of Indiana football not being able to handle Penn State’s firepower in Week 9, I believe the Nittany Lions will be one of the surprise teams of 2022. By Week 9, I fully expect Penn State to be ranked in the Top 25, and, though they’re traveling to Bloomington to face the Hoosiers, Indiana will struggle to score against their stingy defense and limit their highly talented offense led by Sean Clifford.

INDIANA 10 – PENN STATE 27 (5-4, 3-3)
