Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook named Indiana basketball forward, Trayce Jackson-Davis, a Preseason All-American on August 22. The 6-foot-9 senior out of Greenwood, Indiana, is joined by four other players from across the nation in this prestigious award as the college basketball season nears.

For the first time since 2016-17 (Thomas Bryant), Indiana basketball has someone representing the Hoosiers on the Preseason All-American team. Jackson-Davis averaged a team-highs 18.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks on his way to secure a second team All-Big Ten nod in 2021-22.

Armando Bacot led the Tar Heels to a National Championship runner-up last season and finished with the most double doubles in a single season since 1996-97. Bacot finished the season with eight straight double doubles and in his six tournament games, even battling an ankle injury in the championship game, averaged 15.3 points and 16.5 rebounds, and notched the first 20-point and 20-rebound game in an NCAA Tournament game by any player since Angel Delgado (Seton Hall) did so in 2018.

Bacot was the heart and soul of North Carolina’s team as they made their way to the championship game. With his return to Chapel Hill, along with his running mate, Caleb Love, the Tar Heels became instant favorites to win the title in 2023. If Bacot can continue his dominance that finished the season with last season, he will make a strong case for Naismith Player of the Year by the end of February 2023.
