Raleigh Burgess, a 6-foot-10 big man from Sycamore High School in Cincinnati, is visiting with the Indiana basketball program this weekend. Burgess helped lead his Indiana Elite 16U squad to an Adidas 3SSB Championship this summer and has grown his game (and offer list) over the past few months.

Since unofficially visiting Bloomington for the first time in mid-June and getting an offer from Coach Mike Woodson, Burgess has racked up 14 more offers and has his total up to 17 total, along with offers from Penn State, Purdue, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio State, among other power conference schools.

The versatile forward had been to Bloomington many times for Indiana basketball games during the 2021-22 season, so he’s seen and felt the epic atmosphere that is Assembly Hall. From a short clip of his highlights with high-level Indiana Elite squad, scouts and evaluators can see his ability to score from all three levels and his pure stroke for a big man. With added muscle for his junior and senior seasons, don’t be surprised to see Burgess rise up the rankings for the 2024 class and make some noise for which ever college program he decides to join.

His Indiana Elite 16U team finished with the second-best record in the 3SSB at 17-1 (.944) in which Burgess scored 10+ points in five of his last six games played to finish the season. His teammates included other notable Indiana basketball targets such as Travis Perry and Flory Bidunga.

Extra fuel to the fire for Burgess to join Woodson and the Hoosiers program: his mom has a graduate degree from Indiana University. Hoosier pride runs in the family! Hope to see Burgess in the cream and crimson come November 2024.
