#3. Jaylin Lucas – RB – Freshman – 5’9″ 185lbs

The 5-foot-9 true freshman out of Louisiana is showing his burst of speed and versatility that he can bring to new offensive coordinator, Walt Bell, new-look offense. Lucas won’t be just coming out of the backfield for the Hoosiers this season, as he will likely fill a similar type of role like Whop Philyor did in 2019 and 2020.

Lucas had a crazy impressive senior year at Edna Karr High School as he pushed for 958 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns along with 705 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns on 45 receptions. The small-statured freshman is impressing nearly everyone on the field, as even Shaun Shivers (Auburn transfer RB) expects the most every time Lucas touches the ball:

"“Every time you see the ball in his hands, you expect a touchdown or a big play.”"
