468. . . . Red Raiders . 5. team

Fardaws Aimaq, 6’11” 245lbs, Redshirt Senior Center
2021-22 Stats: 18.9 pts/g, 13.6 reb/g, 1.3 blk/g, 25.0 PER

Kevin Obanor, 6’8″ 225lbs, Grad Senior Forward
2021-22 Stats: 10.0 pts/g, 5.5 reb/g, 16.8 PER

Elijah Fisher, 6’6″ 195lbs, Freshman Forward
2022 4-star prospect: #44 ranked nationally, #15 ranked SF

The frontcourt group in Lubbock has top-two talent in the country. But with a transfer from a mid-major school and four-star forward coming in and matching with Kevin Obanor, who has the experience and talent, it will take time for everything to mesh. Coach Mark Adams will be in his second season as the lead man for the Red Raiders and will have the frontcourt talent to dominate the Big 12.

Fardaws Aimaq (Utah Valley transfer) is one of the most underrated big men in the country as he led all players in all of Division I basketball last season with the most 20-point and 10-rebound games (15 games), with the only major conference player closest was Kofi Cockburn and Oscar Tshiebwe (11 games).

Comparing to the Indiana basketball frontcourt

If this matchup were to ever happen, it would probably be the matchup that Hoosier fans should be most worried about. Indiana basketball still has the better overall frontcourt, but offensively, the Red Raiders will be right there with TJD, Thompson, and Kopp, especially because based on Elijah Fisher’s highlights, he will be one of the more underrated incoming freshman for this upcoming season.
