Arrinten Page, a 2023 4-star prospect from Wheeler High School in Georgia, took his first official visit to Bloomington on July 27. Page is considering joining Mike Woodson and Indiana basketball in 2023-24. The 6-foot-9 forward has offers from seven other power conference schools, including Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Florida, Miami (FL), Missouri, and Ole Miss.

Page plays AAU basketball for The Skills Factory, which participates in the EYBL among other major AAU tournaments nationally, and has taken center stage as he was also able to participate in the NBPA Top 100 Camp in late June. While things are going well for Page, his high school teammate, Isaiah Collier, is the primary focus when coaches come into town to watch Wheeler High School play. Collier is the No. 9 player nationally in the 2023 class and the No. 2 overall point guard in the 2023 class. One thing stuck out when 247Sports spoke with Page about wanting to visit Bloomington:

"“Indiana is a school I would like to take a visit to. Mike Woodson is a good coach and is a good dude. His staff has been recruiting me from the start so I want to see what is happening”"

While most recruits that get an offer from a Division I college program will say anything to show they care about the school, one thing that’s different about Indiana (and Missouri) is that those are two schools in Page’s list of offers that are not also interested in his teammate, Collier. Prioritizing recruits and talent is something a lot of programs fail to do at times, and it’s clear that the Indiana basketball program wants to be sure to have a plan with Trayce Jackson-Davis and Race Thompson out the door come next fall. Page may be that answer. After his visit, Page spoke with The Daily Hoosier and was asked if he sees Indiana as a place he sees himself playing at, and his answer, “Definitely”. That’s what Indiana basketball fans want to hear.

One thing that will stand out as you watch some highlights of Page, is his versatility and ability to finish at the rim. You don’t see many juniors in high school, especially big men, with the touch and feel for the game that he has. Just like Jackson-Davis, Page will need to extend his range and have the ability to shoot from mid-range and behind the arc as that’s how basketball has evolved over the past couple years.

The 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward will have to add more muscle and bulk if he does decide to join the Hoosiers and compete against the Big Ten, but that’s something that will be addressed if Director of Athletic Performance, Clif Marshall, gets his hands on him come next summer. After his visit and the impression that Indiana University left on him and his family, seems as though Indiana basketball fans have something to look forward to as Page will be cutting his list of schools down in the coming weeks and hopefully make a decision before the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
