Stevie Scott has found a new home in the NFL. Now, he will be reunited with his good friend and former teammate in Jamar Johnson.

The two players helped take the Hoosiers to new levels last year on both sides of the ball. Stevie was the punisher who played smashmouth football at running back. Jamar brought the swag and energy to an Indiana defense that was reinvigorated in 2020.

Stevie didn’t hang around in New Orleans. It was always going to be hard for Scott to succeed there with such few opportunities. The Saints have the All-World back in Alvin Kamara along with a good #2 back in Latavius Murray. When the Saints added the veteran runner in Devonta Freeman, the writing was on the wall for Stevie in NOLA.

One team’s loss is another’s gain. The Broncos added Scott to join their backfield. He will join Melvin Gordon, fellow rookie Javonte Williams, and Royce Freeman. Scott has his work cut out for him to stay around in the Mile High City. He could be a prime practice squad candidate who could sneak onto the roster.

For now, Stevie and Jamar are back together. The two Hoosiers are playing in the NFL together which is a special thing. Not many college teammates reunite in the NFL, it’s even cooler when they are best friends.
