#10 Indiana Football looks to remain undefeated against Michigan State

Expectations for this Indiana football team were high coming into the season, yet they have surpassed all of them. After handily defeating Michigan last week, the Hoosiers are a top-10 team in the polls for the first time in school history.

This Saturday, Indiana will face a less talented but feisty Michigan State team. Here are some things you need to know about the Spartans ahead of the game.

805. Indiana -7.5. 12:00 pm ET. 3-0. ABC. 11/14/2020. 1-2. 813

Rocky Lombardi

Michigan State may be 1-2 on the season, but that doesn’t mean they’re a pushover. They managed to compete in their week one game against Rutgers despite turning the ball over seven times. Then, they turned around and beat Michigan the week after that. Last Saturday wasn’t quite as favorable for them, however, as they were trounced by Iowa 7-49

The main source of offense for Michigan State has been quarterback Rocky Lombardi. The junior quarterback had a rough game against Iowa, but had been solid the first two games. Against Michigan, Lombardi threw for three touchdowns and 323 yards with no interceptions. He threw two picks against Rutgers but paired those mistakes with 319 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

If Indiana can manage to contain Lombardi like Iowa did this past weekend, it will make their lives a lot easier.
