Indiana Football battles Penn State Saturday in their first game of 2020

For a while, it didn’t look like it was going to happen. Then, it wasn’t going to happen. Still, we somehow have Big Ten football coming to our TV’s this Saturday.

If there is one team that most benefits from the Big Ten’s decision to let football go on, it is the Indiana Hoosiers. This is perhaps the most talented roster ever seen in Bloomington, and the players and fans alike deserved to show off that talent.

That pent up energy from such a long football hiatus will be directed at Penn State this weekend as the number seven team in the nation travels to Memorial Stadium.

Penn State finished last season 11-2, but it could very well have been 10-3 at the hands of the Hoosiers. Indiana played the Nittany Lions close the whole game but ultimately wound up losing 27-34 at Beaver Stadium. Indiana fans are craving a win against a top-tier team — a win that declares they aren’t just a basketball school. This game was so close to being that statement win last season, but excessive mistakes ultimately kept it from coming true. They’ll try and put up a complete game this time around.
