Heat trade:

Andre Iguodala

Tyler Herro

Pacers Trade:

Victor Oladipo

This trade makes a good deal of sense for both sides. Tyler Herro, as much as it pains me to praise a Kentucky guy, is a stud. He played 40 minutes in the Eastern Conference Finals and had a dramatic effect on his team’s success. Most late lottery picks don’t do that as rookies.

Herro’s potential isn’t out of this world, but his floor is very high. He’ll be a solid player in the league for a long time, and he is only 20 years old. Andre Iguodala is a salary filler in this trade. He’s still a valuable player, but the Pacers would do this trade for Herro, not Iguodala.

As for the Heat, they get to add a shooting guard who perfectly fits their culture of hard work, defense, and toughness. On top of that, they get to preserve the salary cap that they are keeping to pursue Giannis Antetokounmpo in next year’s offseason. It’s a win-now move for a team that has surpassed all expectations for this season.

This may be the most likely trade to occur on this list. The only question is if the Heat would be willing to part with Herro.
