Indiana Football: 3 players most affected by canceled 2020 season

Stevie Scott

Stevie Scott may just be going into his Junior year, but he was poised to really break through this year. He was a workhorse for the Hoosiers last year until a late-season injury kept him out of some games late in the year.

Before that injury, Scott was as reliable as any back in the conference outside of a guy named Jonathan Taylor at Wisconsin. Scott rushed for 845 yards last year and 10 touchdowns, which included a huge game against Northwestern when he hit paydirt three times.

Scott still has two years left, but this year was hopefully going to be the one where he took the next step and showed that he could be a feature back in the NFL. At the very worst he could show that he would be a great tandem back which the league is starting to go to more and more.

He was having the career trajectory of Jordan Howard transferred from UAB to Indiana for his senior year and would get drafted by the Bears and have a great start to his career.

Scott is one of those backs who doesn’t look flashy but keeps grinding it out and before you know it he is over 100 yards for the game. He was a great compliment for the Hoosiers passing game and would have helped open up the offense.

He can still have a great end to his Hoosier career but missing the fall is a huge blow to his continued momentum to the top of the Big Ten in rushing.
