Wins – Minnesota, Maryland, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Nebraska, Rutgers, Iowa
Loss – Indiana, Michigan
If Wisconsin was in the East we would have them losing at least four games and possibly five. But they are in the West and they should be able to continue to run that division.
They do lose Jonathan Taylor who was arguably the best running back in the country last year. He ran all over the Big Ten and will be extremely tough to replace. Jack Coan returns under center but how good will he be without Taylor as his safety blanket?
Wisconsin will still be very good on defense and they will be in every game, but we think Indiana pulls off the upset and they also lose at Michigan. It wouldn’t be a stretch to think this team could go undefeated but it wouldn’t surprise us if they lost four games also. There is a lot of unknowns with this team, but until they prove they don’t belong at the top of the West that is where we keep them.
We had all their games right in our original predictions and we have no reason to change our picks. We still think the Hoosiers will pull off the upset in week one. We do think they beat Minnesota to hold the tiebreaker for the West, but this could be a little closer than we first thought.
