Wins – Iowa, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan State, Purdue, Northwestern, Nebraska, Indiana
Loss – Wisconsin, Michigan
The Golden Gophers were the biggest surprise in all of college football last year. They won their first nine games last year including a big upset against Penn State at home. They stumbled late against Iowa and Wisconsin to miss out on the Big Ten Championship game though.
Tanner Morgan is back and is probably the second-best quarterback in the conference behind Justin Fields of Ohio State. He did lose his best receiver in Tyler Johnson who had 86 receptions and 13 touchdowns. But Rashod Bateman is coming back and he had 60 receptions and 11 touchdowns. Bateman and Morgan should make a dangerous one-two punch for the Gophers and should help lead Minnesota to another good year.
We originally thought they would play Ohio State in their 10th game, but instead, they get the Hoosiers. We think Indiana can give them a good game, but think the Gopher come out on top in this game, they could win the West.
