Indiana Football: Big Ten Predictions

Indiana – Record 6 -4

Wins – Wisconsin, Maryland, Rutgers, Michigan State, Purdue, Illinois

Loss – Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Minnesota

This is the season the Hoosiers really break out. We still think beating the big three in the East will be tough and it will still be a huge upset if they do. We do think they pull off an upset at Wisconsin and get past Michigan Stat also.

The reason we think they finish with seven wins is the return of Michael Penix Jr. and Whop Philyor. Oh, and they have Stevie Scott in the backfield also. They are going to score a ton of points and if they can stop the opposing team then they can be very good. We think they make improvements and have a great season even with the loss of their very winnable non-conference games.

No other team in the Big Ten had their schedule so turned upside down as the Hoosiers did. They have a brutal first six games of the year and a once shot at a very promising start to the season could easily end up 1-5. Could they pull off a few upsets early and have a better start? Yes, they could, but no other team must go through what they did. The Big Ten did them absolutely no favors.

We still think they will pull off the upset to begin the yeat with Wisconsin but will lose to Minnesota (their added Big Ten game). They could be that Gophers, but it is at the end of a rough stretch and will be a tall task to beat them.
