Indiana Football: Big Ten Predictions
Indiana – Record 7-3
Wins – Wisconsin, Maryland, Rutgers, Michigan State, Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern
Loss – Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State
This is the season the Hoosiers really break out. We still think beating the big three in the East will be tough and it will still be a huge upset if they do. We do think they pull off an upset at Wisconsin and get past Michigan Stat also.
The reason we think they finish with seven wins is the return of Michael Penix Jr. and Whop Philyor. Oh, and they have Stevie Scott in the backfield also. They are going to score a ton of points and if they can stop the opposing team then they can be very good. We think they make improvements and have a great season even with the loss of their very winnable non-conference games.
Penn State – Record 8-2
Wins – Northwestern, Iowa, Indiana, Nebraska, Michigan State, Maryland, Rutgers, Ohio State
Loss – Michigan, Purdue
The Nittany Lions return their quarterback in Sean Clifford who almost single handily beat the Hoosiers last year. He can beat you with his legs and his arm and will be the key to Penn State’s success this year.
James Franklin keeps leading the Nittany Lions to wins and we think it isn’t going to be much different this year. We do think they will pull off the big upset against Ohio State as they are the ones that have played them the best in recent years. But they lose at Michigan and Purdue if they play them in the 10th game.
