The Indiana football team had one player honored with selection onto the Big Ten All-Decade team when it was announced last week.
The Hoosiers are not considered a football power in the Big Ten, but they have produced some very good football players. One of them was recently recognized on the 2010s All-Decade team for the Big Ten.

Dan Feeney was the only Hoosier to make the first team that was loaded with talent. While Indiana isn’t the first team you would think about for the first-team All-Decade team, Feeney’s talent was just too much to overlook.
Feeney was a three-star recruit out of Florida and chose Indiana to further his football career. He had a great career year for the Hoosiers, starting with an outstanding freshman year where he didn’t give up a sack in earning Big Ten Honorable Mention.
He would miss his sophomore year, but was granted a red shirt and continued to anchor a record-breaking line for the Hoosiers.
During his Junior and Senior years, Feeney was named first-team All-American and it helped him earn an invitation to the NFL combine. With his performance at the combine and his work in college, he was projected as a second-round pick.
He didn’t go in the second round, but the Chargers drafted Feeney in the third round and he has been a mainstay in the starting lineup since then.
Feeney is one of the best linemen to ever come out of Bloomington and he was rewarded for it with this selection. The Hoosiers might not have had a lot of success during the 2010s but Feeney was one of the bright spots.
