2. Penix, Philyor, and Scott oh my

The Hoosiers return one of the best trios of skilled offensive players in the Big Ten and we can’t wait to see what they do this year.

Michael Penix Jr. is returning from injury but was having a great year up until that point. Even though he missed about half the season he still threw for almost 1,500 yards and had 10 touchdowns through the air. When he is healthy he has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the country.

Stevie Scott was as reliable as any back as the Hoosiers rode him to some victories last year and he was looking great against Michigan before an injury derailed the game. He still finished with 845 yards and 10 touchdowns on the year. We can’t wait to see him tear through opposing defenses again.

Even with the talents of Penix Jr and Smith, we are still most excited to see what Whop Philyor can do for an encore this year. Philyor burst onto the scene last year with his 14 catch game against Michigan State. He did again against Nebraska and also had 10 catches against Rutgers. In all he hauled in 70 passes with 10 touchdowns. He even missed some time due to a minor injury. We can’t imagine what he will do with a full season and another year of experience.

This group should be very exciting this year and will give most teams fits. Can they all have even better years and lead Indiana to an even better season? We can’t wait to see it.
