In a fit of quarantine boredom, I went back to see what NBA scouts and journalists had to say about former Indiana draftees.

If you’re anything like me, you exhaust the internet nearly every day looking for sports content. One of the things I love to watch is when Dan Patrick has NFL stars on his radio show and gets his producers to make a long list of NFL Draft assessments from various scouts and websites. The hilarity of hindsight makes this an extremely enjoyable segment since most of these players are nearly flawless at what scouts formerly thought would always be weaknesses in their games.

I wanted to do the same thing for Indiana Basketball players who went to the NBA in the last decade.

Today, we’ll talk about the most notable IU alumni in the NBA: Victor Oladipo. Before we get into what people had to say, let’s take a look at Oladipo’s career numbers for both the NBA and college:

NBA: 17.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 3.9 apg, 44% FG, 35% 3pt. 2x All-Star, 2017-2018 steals leader, 2017-2018 First Team All-Defense,  2017-2018 Most Improved Player, 2017-2018 3rd Team All-NBA.

College: 10.7 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.7 apg, 54% FG, 34% 3pt. 2012-2013 Consensus All-American, 2x Big Ten All-Defense, 2012-2013 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.
