The Indiana basketball team had a scholarship open up recently and should look into this Big Ten transfer to fit that spot.

The Hoosiers looked all set for next year just a couple of weeks ago. The only thing they were waiting on was the final decision on if Khristian Lander is going to reclassify and be in Bloomington next year.

Indiana looked to have all their scholarships filled, but then Damezi Anderson decided to transfer to Loyola, Chicago. It wasn’t a surprise that he transferred after struggling to find consistent playing time under Archie Miller. But there was still hope he might stay as he loved being at Indiana and fans and teammates loved him.

With his departure, though, it has left a scholarship open and no clear option on who could fill that spot. We talked about how two Big Ten transfers could fit next year, but (hated) Matt Haarms signed with BYU, and David DeJulius from Michigan is on his way to Cincinnati. They weren’t really options for Hoosiers especially at the time but could have been decent fits for this team.

But now with a scholarship open the Hoosiers are suddenly in play for another recruit or transfer. There are still some very good grad transfers in the portal that could work their way to Indiana, but there is a new name out there that would be a great fit for the Hoosiers.

He just so happens to be another Big Ten transfer and the second from the Wolverines. We take a  look at his profile and how he could fit with Miller’s club.
