Indiana Basketball: Devonte Green officially enters NBA draft

The Indiana basketball team’s best chance of getting a player in the NBA this year is Devonte Green as he officially entered the NBA draft on Tuesday.
Devonte Green posted on his Twitter page on Tuesday that he was entering the NBA draft and joining Roc Nation Sports Family which was founded by Jay-Z.

Green was second on the Hoosiers in scoring last year when he averaged 10.8 points per game. He was also second on the team averaging 2.1 assists per game while doing it mostly by coming off the bench.
Green had a great end to his Junior year and looked primed to have a huge senior year, but a leg injury in the preseason kept him out of the first few games and he never seemed to get into a groove this year. He showed flashes of being a star including his 30 point outburst against Florida State during the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
He struggled with his shot for part of the year and didn’t quite have the year that many were expecting. But when he got hot from deep he could take the game over and that is what might attract some NBA executives.
Green will be a longshot to get drafted, but all you have to do is have one team fall in love with you and take a chance. He has the ability to be an effective role player in the NBA but might have a long road ahead of him.
If he can find his host consistently, then he could make a team very happy and find his niche in the league. Green was a player many Hoosier fans loved and will be one we will be rooting for to make it at the next level.
