Whop Philyor

Whop Philyor very well could have opted to enter the NFL draft after his junior season, but the star wideout has announced he will be returning to the Hoosiers for his senior season. It’s great news for Indiana, and probably the right move on his part considering how deep this year’s class at wide receiver was.

The 5’11” 178-pound receiver was excellent this past season for Indiana. He caught 70 passes for just over a thousand yards and tallied 10 rushes for an additional 43 yards. He’s a dynamic player in space and has the ability to create after the catch, which will be something NFL scouts highlight as one of his biggest strengths.

When it comes to receivers, producing at the college level matters, and Philyor has certainly done that and will have the opportunity to do more of in the coming season. In terms of just how high his draft stock can get, a lot will depend on his combine and/or pro day next spring.

It would be pretty surprising to see Philyor not make an NFL roster one way or another.
