SG – Victor Oladipo

Now things get competitive. Tough Decisions will have to be made in the second backcourt position. There are three potential starters at this position with Victor Oladipo, Eric Gordon, and Romeo Langford all making claims to take the starting job.

Eric Gordon and Romeo Langford can each make convincing arguments as Gordon is a sniper from three-point land and Romeo can handle the ball and score inside extremely well. In the end, however, both Gordon and Langford will have to make way for Victor Oladipo.

Oladipo came to IU as an under-recruited prospect with a chip on his shoulder to get better. He did exactly that. Oladipo finished his career at IU as one of the most decorated Hoosiers of all time. Oladipo wrapped up his IU career with first-team All-American and DPOY honors before being selected number two in the 2013 NBA draft.

In the NBA, Oladipo did not slow down. After bouncing around a couple of times, Oladipo landed back in Indiana with the Pacers. It was clear that he was comfortable back in the Hoosier state as Oladipo averaged 23 points, five rebounds and four assists to go along with his 2.5 steals in his first season in Indiana. Most recently, Oladipo has struggled with an injury, but as the only all-star Hoosier currently in the NBA, he is a lock for the shooting guard position.
