Penix Jr was the better option

Michael Penix Jr.is the more electrifying player and he is also the younger player. Experience is a big deal in college football, but if you are ready then why wait?

Penix Jr. proved the moment wasn’t too big for him last year as he played really well against Michigan State’s vaunted defense in their close loss. He would throw for 286 yards on 33-42 passing with three touchdowns and no interceptions.

Penix Jr also developed a great rapport with Whop Philyor and they both shined when they were on the field together. Ramsey had good success with Philyor also, but Penix Jr seemed to bring the best out of him. They made up one of the best quarterback/receiver combos in the Big Ten and were really starting to develop something very special that will hopefully continue this year.

The Hoosiers also have three more years with Penix Jr. and the familiarity of having the same quarterback for that long in a row could be huge in the Hoosiers success moving forward. The prospect of having Penix Jr under center throwing to Philyor and Ty Fryfogle this year has the excite the Hoosier faithful.

Ramsey did a good job of avoiding pressure, but Penix Jr. is absolutely more mobile and can keep plays alive. He is a great playmaker and it showed last year when he was on the field. If you want excitement and the potential to have the same starting quarterback for 3+ years, then Penix Jr was absolutely the best choice.
