The Indiana football program continues to be lethal on the recruiting trail as another grad transfer chose to continue their career with the Hoosiers.

Despite the recruiting freeze in college sports not allowing recruits to go on any visits, that hasn’t stopped the Indiana football program from staying active in the recruiting world and transfer market.

On Thursday, one of the most sought-after graduate transfers made his announcement and made it a good day for the Hoosiers.

Stanford defensive lineman Jovan Swann took to twitter to make his commitment to the Indiana football program.

Swann, from Greenwood, IN, was a top target for the Hoosiers back in 2016 before he ultimately committed to Stanford. Now, Indiana finally got its guy.

An All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention selection in 2019, Swann started nine games and finished with 32 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. In his career, he has made 19 starts and totaled 11.5 sacks.

His commitment will now give new DL coach Kevin Peoples another notable body to go along with guys such as James Head, Jerome Johnson, Michael Ziemba and Demarcus Elliot.

Swann is the second former Stanford Cardinal to transfer to Indiana for the 2020 season as a graduate transfer, joining offensive lineman Dylan Powell.

Jovan Swann was ranked as the No. 657 overall player in the 2016 class and the No. 8 ranked player in the state of Indiana, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
