Indiana basketball took a huge step forward in Archie Miller’s third season as an NCAA Tournament appearance was here. Now, it’s time to hand out some awards.

We all know how the college basketball season ended and while nobody is happy with the abruptness of it, it’s something we all have to accept. For the Indiana basketball program it is definitely a tough pill to swallow.

The Hoosiers were set to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in Archie Miller’s tenure as well as the first for the senior class of Devonte Green and De’Ron Davis. While Miller made it known that they were a lock for the tournament field, nobody will know how far the Hoosiers could have gone.

One of the main reasons for the play and progress of the Hoosiers was Trayce Jackson-Davis. The freshman received multiple honors in the Big Ten and while falling just short of Big Ten Freshman of the Year, you can make the argument that no one player meant more to his team than he did for Indiana.

Looking ahead to next season will bring high expectations and the thought that a deep NCAA Tournament run should be in play.

Before we get there, however, it’s still time to reflect on the 2019-20 season and highlight the play from some of the Indiana roster.

With that, it’s time to hand out some awards for this past season.
