The Indiana basketball season, like everybody else, had their season cut short, but they still had some great moments along the way. We take a look at the top ten moments from the 2019-20 season.
There was some optimism heading into the season for Hoosier fans and the team didn’t disappoint. The questions remained during November, though, was if Indiana was really that good or was it because of a soft schedule.
In a maddeningly inconsistent December on, it seemed like we never knew which team was going to show up. The Hoosiers had more ranked wins than a lot of teams in the country but would have complete breakdowns during games. It was a Jekyll and Hyde type of season for Indiana and one that left fans scratching their head.
It was a season that was probably going to get the Hoosiers back to the NCAA tournament for the first time in three years, but also one that saw them having to play on the first day of the Big Ten tournament. They could play with anyone in the Big Ten but also had to use overtime to beat cellar dweller Nebraska.
Trayce Jackson-Davis has shown he can be a star and other players showed flashes of breaking out. The Hoosiers never did put it all together for more than one game at a time, but when they played their best it was a treat to watch.
Through it all there were some great moments that won’t be forgotten and others that fans can’t wait to forget. The season may have been cut short, but we can still look back and remember what was one heck of a season.
