4. Hoosiers Get To 10 Wins

Nine-win Indiana was the goal last season all the way up until the final seconds of the season. Unfortunately, the Hoosiers didn’t reach that number. So getting to 10 wins is going to happen this year? I say yes.

Indiana has games against Western Kentucky, Ball State, UConn, Maryland and Rutgers that should all be locked in wins. If the Hoosiers were to lose any of those, it should be a major disappointment. After that, games such as Illinois, Purdue and Michigan State all present some problems but could all be wins as well. Out of all of those games, the only away games are Rutgers and UConn – pretty easy schedule right?

Now comes the hard part. Hypothetically if the Hoosiers go 7-1 in that stretch that leaves games with Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and the season opener Wisconsin. Out of those four games only the Penn State game is at home. This is the portion of the season that Indiana fans are most interested about.

It is time IU gets on the big stage and finally wins some of those games. Look, they aren’t going to win the majority of them and definitely not all of them, but honestly is two wins of those games too much to ask for? The Hoosiers have always been a tough out for Michigan and with a new quarterback under center, who knows how that newest Jim Harbaugh experiment works out. Can they snag a win against Wisconsin in the opener when teams may be a bit sloppy and not entirely in-game shape? Sure. How about holding serve and beating the Nittany Lions in Bloomington? Absolutely.

Now, 10 wins will most likely not come until the very final game of the year and yes that means a bowl game victory. It’s time and this program is ready.
