Stick With What You Know

Point Guard: Rob Phinisee

Shooting Guard: Al Durham

Small Forward: Justin Smith

Power Forward: Trayce Jackson-Davis

Center: Joey Brunk

It’s entirely possible Archie Miller doesn’t change a thing about the starting lineup. Despite his talent, Khristian Lander is only a freshman, and sometimes freshmen struggle to make an immediate impact on their team.

Additionally, Rob Phinisee is no slouch and won’t want to hand away his starting point guard spot without a fight. Lander will have to earn it from him.

There isn’t a lot to comment on with this lineup because, well, we saw it for months. The spacing is still bad, it’ll struggle to score, but will be a good defensive group. This squad really meshed well together on defense in the final stretch of the season.

Archie Miller may have liked where this lineup was taking him and could choose to stick with it, replacing Devonte Green with Khristian Lander as a spark plug off the bench.

While not horrible, I’m still not in love with this lineup for spacing reasons. Now we deviate from the norm a little bit and look at some more funky, fun lineups that give IU better spacing.
