The Indiana football team will look to build off their eight wins in 2019 but have a tough schedule. So which games are going to be the best and which can we pass on?

While spring football may be canceled and we dream about Hoosier football, its time to look ahead to the 2020 season. The Hoosiers are hoping that they can springboard their success in 2019 to a great 2020 season.

They return, hopefully healthy, sophomore quarterback Michael Penix, Jr., star wide receiver Whop Philyor, and a very reliable back in Stevie Scott. It is an offense set up to be able to score a lot of points and keep the Hoosiers in most games.

The defense is the side of the ball that needs the most work as it was very suspect at times last year. If they can shore up some problems, especially in the secondary and Indiana could be a team to cause problems in the Big Ten.

Finding a backup to Penix Jr. will also be a big deal as Peyton Ramsey also entered the transfer portal. Penix was very injury prone last year, so the Hoosiers have to make sure they have a viable option to back him up.

So as we think about what could have been with spring practice, we take a look at the upcoming 2020 football season for the Hoosiers. It is not going to be easy for the Hoosiers to get back to eight wins, but a softer early schedule could help them get some momentum.

What games are the best bets and what games do only diehards want to watch? We rank the games from twelve to one as we take an early look at Indiana’s schedule.
