Victor Oladipo has slowly been getting back into form since coming back from his leg injury. Tuesday night he showed that he might be back.

Victor Oladipo has not played poorly since his return from injury, but he hadn’t had a breakthrough game yet. That was until Tuesday night against the Celtics. Oladipo went for 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting including five three-pointers. He would also grab seven rebounds and dish out four assists.

It was his most complete game since coming back and one that showed the scoring ability he had before he went down with the ruptured quad tendon last January.

Oladipo has been back for just 13 games but has already started to get back into a good rhythm. His first game back he struggled from the floor but hit a big three to send their game into overtime against the Bulls.

Since that game, he has scored in double-figures nine times, but this was the first game he passed the 20-point mark. He is averaging 13.3 points per game on nearly 40 percent shooting this year.

The surge by Oladipo should help the Pacers as they try to catch the Heat for the fourth spot in the East and hold off the Sixers who are right behind them.

Before the gruesome injury last year, Oldadipo was averaging just under 19 points per game and proving to be one of the best players in the East. It has been a long road back for Oladipo, but one that is hopefully finally ready to take off and just in time for the playoffs.

The Pacers are a much better team when Oladipo is playing well and if he can use this to springboard into better things this year the Pacers might be a sleeper team in the East.
