5. Jamar Johnson pick-six in the Gator Bowl

The Gator Bowl looked like it was going to be the Hoosier’s first bowl win in 29 years. The Hoosiers were in control late in the game and the curse looked like it would finally be broken. After a tough first half, the Hoosiers looked great early in the second half and it was triggered by a touchdown by Peyton Ramsey and then just two plays later this happened: (happens at the 1:27 mark)

Jamar Johnson stepped in front of a pass by Jarrett Guarantano and returned it 63 yards for a touchdown. It was a great play by Johnson to get the pick and an even better return. Johnson weaved in and out to dodge would be Tennessee tacklers for the touchdown and a 16-6 lead.

The celebration was cut a little short due to the missed extra point, but it looked like the Hoosiers had taken complete control of the game and had the faithful thinking big things.

The Hoosiers again ended up losing the game, but the return by Johnson was a huge highlight of the bowl game and one of the best moments of the year for the Indiana football team.
