Shooting Guard – James Blackmon (2015-2017)

After committing to Indiana during his sophomore year, Indiana fans thought they were going to lose out on the five-star guard after he decommitted during his junior year. Ultimately, James Blackmon chose the Hoosiers and went on to have a great career.

The three-year starter averaged 16.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and shot 41.5 percent from three in his 76 games at Indiana. Always one of most lethal shooters in the entire country, Blackmon ranks sixth in the Big Ten in all-time three-point percentage.

Blackmon’s 518 points in his freshman season was third in Indiana history behind Eric Gordon (664) and Cody Zeller (563) before Romeo Langford bumped Blackmon out of the top-3 last year.

Despite his early success at Indiana, injuries would derail the trajectory of his career and force him out of the lineup multiple times.

Blackmon, however, was one of the most electrifying scorers in the past decade for the Hoosiers and has the skillset that Indiana could desperately use right now.
